Why do we force feed ourselves things we wouldn't feed others? If you are trying to sprinkle sugar over situations that are just down right poopy, it doesn't matter how many things you try to sugar coat or make it seem that it is greater than what it is, it will not change the facts. How to properly use beauty blender to create the perfect face!

I was so lost on how to properly use my beauty blender until I saw this pictorial. Now I understand. You have to get the sponge to the point that is so soft and squeeze all the water out and then use to blend. That's all. I use 2 sponges. One for highlight and one for contouring so I get an accurate color result. I will be creating a video for this to help others get the perfect result. With the same wet sponge, I use it to apply the press powder to my contour and highlight. I use 2 different shades of press powder to seal the look. All I can say is you will never have that dry under eye powdered look when you use the same wet beauty blender in with the respective colors.

I purchased my beauty blender dupe on amazon for $1.99! Works GREAT! It takes around 3 or so weeks to  arrive but you can't beat the price point or results.

Holiday brown smokey eyeshadow look!

Thank you goes out to @elymarino for her awesome brown smokey eye tutorial earlier this week on Meet On. I finally realized that blending takes time after watching an unedited live video. 

I usually play it safe with a nude lip so I decided to spice up this brown smokey eye with a red lip. For the lips I used @wetnwildbeauty just peachy with NYX Truffle lipliner and@soniakashuk 4th red color in the fall edition lip palette. Eyeshadow from elf cosmetics 32 eyeshadow palette different tones of brown for lid and crease/transitional color.

I've been talking about this subject and notice it keeps popping up. I feel when situations continues to pop up, it is a sign to pay attention to. I'm coming to a conclusion from my personal experiences that whenever I go through something that causes me pain, the pain is usually acting as a transition to my next level of life. The question is will I focus on the pain repeatedly throughout each day or will I find a way to be still through the "change" that is showing up as pain for me to address. Sometimes it only requires me to be still to connect with God to see his truth, no matter how impossible or unusual it may seem.

I read this and felt the message is so simple but POWERFUL… Know that you have the power to change your life, if you choose to be a part of it. It all starts with your mind, by thinking you can, taking action and always seeking God First before making decisions. If there is something that is in your heart to do something you’re thought about for a long time, this is the time now pursue it. Do what you need to do to pay your bills, but also make time to pursue what gives you joy, for you never know where it will lead.

My short hair Journey to finally choosing to grow my hair

Found some pics of old hairstyles I've had in the past. I look forward to my hair being long again. Until than I will enjoy wigs and clipins!!! I know some people may ask why and I say, why not! Life is long and sometimes quite boring. A great way to spice it up for most people is by traveling or going shopping and this, to me is some what the same thing.

Hair is like a pair of shoes, they make the outfit. You can have on the nicest suit or the prettiest dress, but if your shoes or hair is off, it's a wrap. Basically, hair is just an accessory to complete the look you're going for. 

We all need to live a little. Initially, I had to get over the thought that people would know it was a wig, but once I let go and just wore it in confidence keeping in mind the purpose it was serving, I stopped caring. For me, this is just another way of me working with all I have until my hair gets to the length I want. This is my way of resisting the temptation to keep cutting my hair into lovely, edgy, short hair cuts.

Maybe this will help someone become bold enough to try something new without damaging their hair or take a chance to just be playful and do something different.

LA Colors Lipstick in Natural Shine with NYX Truffle Lipliner. Used both press powders, tan for contour and nude for highlight. I also used a bronzer and blush to complete this look.

LA Colors Dual Pencial - Used Purple Eyeshadow end with Glossaholic Holographic 3d lipgloss

NYX Lipgloss - 1st one has an opal color/appearance. Love the pinkish tone. Too bad they smell like CRAYONSl!!!

Very surprised how well this product went on and it didn't clump after 4 applications. At the end of the night, I didn't have raccoon eyes!!! BIG PLUS!!!

TIP: USE WATER WITH YOU BRUSH BEFORE DIPPING IN EYESHADOW FOR A MORE RICH COLOR WHEN APPLIED. I used the last 3 colors in the first image to create this look.
