MUA Tips: How to create your own Highlighter colors with a Flash Palette

In this video, I show you how to recreate Becca cream Skin shimmering perfector in Opal, and a few other colors with this flash palette by magic. You can find it on ebay. There are other pro color wheel alternatives such as Makeup Forever(the most expensive out the bunch), Mehron, Graftobian, BenNye and MAQPro. Sorry that the color did not remotely pick up with the sparkles, as it does in person.

Are we purchasing the same makeup in different packaging and worshipping it?

This thought came to me the other day after watching a load of makeup videos on youtube, and thinking to myself, "Do I need these products, or do I have those very same colors but it's just in different packaging?" There is nothing wrong with wanting something new, especially makeup, but are we taking it to need heights with obsessing over these products that we already have multiple shades of? Like eyeshadow palettes that have the same color, but a different name. Does it make us feel better when we buy these things? Is it really bringing us fulfillment, or is it temporary? Are we also showing this same behavior in our relationships with others? Just the thought of the moment.

Why we should be drinking Distilled Water instead of Bottled or Filtered water

So fell upon this information by "accident", since technically there are no coincidences in this world or life. I was doing some research and came across this information regarding fluoride in our water, and how this idea came from World War II when Hilter placed fluoride in the water at concentration camps to poison the Jews. What does that tell you that is going on? Fluoride can be found in tap water and toothpaste, something that we use on a daily basis.

There are several articles and videos on this subject. Do your own research to discover this truth.

In this video, it talks about how the best water for you to drink is distilled water. Watch videos on youtube on how to make your own distiller, and you'll notice it is the same process the earth uses to create rain water. It evaporates what is on the earth, the vapors go up into the clouds, and comes back down as water. Same process. Distilling water is an easy way to separate fluoride and other harmful substances from your water source. Since you really don't know if the water is truly being distilled or not, it is good to say that we should invest in our own distiller.

Sad to say that water purifiers are not enough to remove fluoride from our drinking water. It doesn't simulate the same process that the earth creates when creating more rain, so therefore it is not sufficient.

Different ways to make your own distilled drinking water.

Feeling Lost & Confusted | What I'm doing to change

So after creating the first video and realizing there are more people, women specifically, out there feeling lost and empty who are trying to fill the void with purchasing makeup, starting a new hobby, dating, drinking or whatever to change that feeling of numbness, I wanted to create more videos of showing what I'm doing to change this feeling. I want to share what's working so that it may encourage someone else who is feeling the same way. All the feelings of anxiety over work, money, whether or not I need to be in a relationship with anyone versus focusing on building a better relationship with God. I already felt like I had a good relationship with myself, but it can't be if I'm not spending time with God, reading positive words to continue to build my character, and the way I think.

I hope these videos will help someone out there who is feeling lost and out of place.

What I learned from The Beauty Hour with Mimi J. at The Glamatory

First off, I'm a total fan of MiMi J. before I even had the concept of that applying eyeshadow involved more than one shade. I didn't even wear foundation or had a clue on how to apply eyeshadow with transition colors, but I knew what great artwork looked like when I saw it. MiMi J has been that to me since I first saw her work popup in my email in 2010.

Last nights class was on fall trends for 2015, in which she demonstrated a black smokey eye and nude lip. First she created the black smokey eye like you normally would with a dark base, your transition colors, and the black eyeshadow. What I wasn't prepared for was the use of Inglot's loose pigment shadow being lightly applied with her finger that changed the game. My mind went running with this concept of the variety of things I could now do with a black smokey eye to give it a spark of its' own.

Here's some images I found of Inglot's loose pigment #85. Inglot Loose pigments are sold in store at The Glamatory.

She also gave some great tips on how to highlight and contour under your foundation for a more natural look, how to tight line the upper inner lash line(HUGE PLUS FOR ME!!!), and talked about the importance of selecting the correct color setting powder for your complexion to avoid the over highlighted under eye appearance. She also mentioned that HD setting powder is only great for film to blur our imperfections, and should NOT be used for anything that will involve photography such as red carpet events, weddings and so forth. The HD powder will create a flash back due to reflective properties in the product with great attention noticed in the under eye area where the powder was applied. NO ONE WANTS THAT!!!

The Beauty Hour: Fall Makeup Trends with Mimi J.

Unfortunately, I got there late and missed the opportunity to see the first example for an easy way to clean up your foundation with the first model pictured here, but she came back to her and showed an easy way to create a fall dark lip makeup look that doesn't take more then 10 minutes, which I loved! She lined the lips with "Nightmoth" from MAC and applied a very LIGHT coat of Pnk Digger's "Magic City" with a lip brush for more precision. Afterwards, she cleaned it up with a concealer and stressed some important points of why it's important to clean up around the lips with concealer if you're going to be applying makeup for photo shoots. She stated that the camera picks up on all those details even though the naked eye cannot see it from afar. It's an extra step the photographer doesn't have to do in photoshop, which will be a plus for the next time they're looking for a makeup artist.

She applied a dark brown eyeliner right above the lash line and smudged it in with her finger, applied some mascara, along with tips on how to apply it successfully, and viola!!! There was so much more info which would make this blog super long, so make sure to check her out for yourself!

I totally look forward to the next class! I always leave her presence learning something I didn't know before to help take my art form of makeup artistry to the next level.

Quote: If you are Angry with anyone, Forgive Them Today!

So I've been reading and hearing this message quite often, and had to share it. Too many of us are holding onto a past memory, a recent incident or an accumulation of repeated injustice, that we replay in our minds, becoming bitter and bitter each time we recall it. This does nothing for you but steal your peace or daily bread. If anyone has hurt you, let it go. Forgive Now. Holding onto those feelings of what they did to you and never forgetting it or forgiving only ages our bodies and souls. You don't hurt that person, you hurt yourself. The question is how long will you continue to hurt yourself as well? For our lack of forgiveness towards others will stop us from been forgiven, and entering into heaven, but also experiencing peace on earth through our issues. #prayhard #forgive #loveoneanother #God #doontoothers #wisewords #instaquote #quotes #quotes #quoteoftheday #pray #praydaily #prayerlife

MUA TIPS: Charlotte Tilbury tip on creating a winged cat eye

I have to say it's interesting watching pro's apply makeup, verses other youtube makeup artist. I have come to realize that there is a difference, depending on the person, and their skill set of what they specialize in. Some people love the heavy coverage and dramatic looks, and some people, like myself, love the more natural magazine look, where you can't tell you're wearing makeup besides on your eyes and lips.

In this video, Charlotte Tilbury gives a great example of how to line your eyes. What I like about it is she actually layers the eyeliner for the evening time, since there's a chance of sweating. She layers it with a pencil liner first, and then she goes over it with Maybelline gel liner to seal in the look. Recently, I've been doing this layering technique after watching youtube videos of makeup enthusiast and artist that attended Makeup by Mario's recent makeup master class with Kim Kardasian. That is the one constant thing I heard from all the youtubers, which is layering to seal in the look. It makes sense for me since my eyeliner has had the tendency to crack and chip off before the end of the night. Since I've been using an NYC Kohl eyeliner and Maybelline gel liner or NYC liquid eyeliner, I've totally noticed the difference!

I hope this helps someone else who is wanting to learn how to apply their eyeliner to create more of a sensual/edgy editorial/magazine makeup look.
