Today is National Entrepreneurs' Day and this event held at Suede, located in downtown Atlanta, had a mixed array of women entrepreneurs from all walks of life. This event was hosted by Royal Enterprises, Author Mariah M Jerido, ElleQ Casting & Leta Lagaunda. Products sold by vendors ranged from stylish fashion clothing, human resources services for companies that are beginning to hire contractors/employees, fashionable hair accessories, exotic jewelry pieces, men's jewelry and signature pens, remarkable anti-aging cream not only for your face but also for stomachs that have been stretched beyonds it's limits due to pregnancy to extreme weight gain, custom made soaps, an entertainment group for music artist, song writers and models and last but not least, custom made skirts and clutches.

Meet Kimberly. She's been in business for a few months and is loving the freedom to be able to be her own boss and sell stylish clothing. She came all the way from North Carolina to attend this event and was so excited to be a part of this event. Her smile and charisma alone will get her far in this business.

Love it when I learn something new.  This jewelry is by Traci Lynn, who happens to be the CEO of Traci Lynn ministries, Inc., which includes Victorious Living in Christ Broadcast Ministries. She has been interviewed on "Good Morning America" and featured in an article for entrepreneurial excellence, in “Essence Magazine”.

Now, I'm in total amazement with this product and will be trying this product out asap! The product was made to help with skin cancer and ended up having a whole other effect. Their clients kept coming back for more because of the noticeable anti-aging effects it had on their skin. This is such a great alternative to plastic surgery.

I definitely had to see the banner to visually see how these hair accessories looked when worn. They are so adorably cute! Their accessories range from hair pins that can be used in the hair and on scarfs, to stylish bobby pins that are extremely sturdy.

Julie has only been doing this for a few months and she says, it has been a very successful venture for her. She shared some of her tips to getting more exposure and business by signing up for as many vendor events on eventbrite.com and hosting facebook parties. Now that is new to me but I will definitely have to look up more information on how to host one.

This company carries custom made fragrance soaps. From soaps made for children, rough soaps, exfoliating soaps, body salts, to men's soap sets as well. If they don't have a smell that you prefer, request a scent and they will create it. They also offer non-fragrance soaps as well. Talk about great customer service to accommodate their customers. 

In the second image, that is an exfoliating body soap made of coffee, grits and if I'm correct, oatmeal. Now the fourth soap is very creative. One of the soaps has been molded into praying hands and the other, a cross. I thought that was cute.

Yes, the false teeth are made of soap! Aren't those too cute? I thought so. These ladies where a joy to chat with! They've only been creating soap since August of this year. Very inspiring to see people taking action to follow their dreams no matter their age.

Now Janet is just talented. She has only been sewing since June of this year, but her skills are amazing!!! The brown skirt on the bottom left has pockets, which has a custom made matching clutch as well. The special attention to detail is amazing. You'll have to see her designs up close and personal for yourself!

Kismae's candle table was at the entrance when I arrived but I'm glad I got to her last. The candles she sold by Pink Zebra, had such a strong aroma making it difficult to choose. I ended up purchasing 2 candles mixed into one. After only being on the burner for 10 minutes, my ENTIRE downstairs smells amazing!!! Note:  The smell is extremely potent! I've used Yankee Candles and this is just as and maybe even more potent for a lesser price.

Now Kismae had a secret she was hiding. I discovered she also organizes free art, crochet and knitting events at different locations in the Atlanta area. She knitted this Falcon's colored shawl in hopes of them winning this season, but we all know how that's gone. Thank you for sharing Kismae!

Why do we allow fear to run the show in our minds?

Fear, fear... Oh how you come disguised popping into our minds as a solution to run havoc in our lives, when you are really only reminding us of all our problems and how it makes us feel uneasy. Why do we choose you over faith when you are both things unseen? When one brings us unnecessary pain if we choose to sulk in it and the other lightens our load if we let go of what we can't change and trust God's process. We all have things we fear but the question is will it solve anything if it does not involve a solution. What are you allowing fear to stop in your life today? If you are entertaining fear, ask yourself what am I so afraid will happen if what I feared actually occured. The bigger question is suppose what I fear never happens, than what? Time Does Not Heal Everything. Acceptance Will Heal Everything!

Wow...How simple, yet true! Most of us are waiting on "time" to heal things to avoid pain. Somehow we've come to believe that running away is the solution and it will fix things, but it never does. The things we run from always have a way of running right back around full circle in another shape or form for us to face. When situations repeatedly occur with different faces, that is your sign that you need to address them or it will get worse. I'm coming to a place where I believe that God or whatever you prefer to relate to, wants you to face yourself in the situation to truly SEE you. Seeing you could mean not blaming, forgiving, letting go, choosing to love anyway, all while gaining MORE WISDOM. The key here is gaining more wisdom to avoid you from repeating the same actions that are causing these situations to occur. Until we face them we will continue that cycle until we face it by being still and accepting what is in order to truly see us and the path we are suppose to be on.

DIY: How to Create Eyeshadow Makeup Shield

This is for all my makeup junkies that suffer from eyeshadow fallout landing onto their upper cheeks and leaving streaks when attempting to remove the product.

After testing out one DIY method with pantyliners, I wanted to take a stab at creating my own eyeshadow shield. That idea is great, the only issue was it left visible streaks where my foundation was removed by the tape. Didn't have fun trying to fill in gap with press powder, but hey.

The idea with the sticky note pad seems great except it doesn't catch the fallout, which means it's landing somewhere, quite possibly on you or your clothes. So I came up with this. I will be working on an easier way to cut out multiply pieces all at once.

I won an "It Works!" Body Wrap

So yesterday, I was really looking to get into something since it was one of those days where your plans fall through and you're left with nothing to do. I was dressed with no where to go, so I thought. Luckily, I was able to contact one of my friends who suggested an event at an Atlanta coffee shop, Honey Bubble, which I had no idea it was for "It Works" body wraps.

If you're on instagram, you've seen their ads with women stomachs all out of shape from too much fat or from the skin being stretched beyond it's limits due to pregnancy. I was curious about it but never thought I would actually get a chance to get one. To my surprise, I was at one of these events, which I received useful information and got to experience it for myself through sampling and asking questions. They have a list of other products from fat absorbers that prevents your body from ingesting the fatty oils, which is in the third photo, it absorbs the oils and falls to the bottom of the cylinder glass, to the hair and nail supplements that help them grow healthier and longer.

Of course, that is not what I was interested in. I was more interested in the wraps. Now, the way the wrap works and why it's so effective is due to its anti-inflammatory properties, that's why it looks like it shrinks the body. It's not getting rid of water weight, it's getting rid of inflammation in your body. This is one of the reasons why it's not a one time use in you desire to see great results. Just like working out, you have to do it on a regular basis, maybe not as often, along with a proper diet and some exercise wouldn't hurt. The real question is what is causing the inflammation in the body. Surely, it is most likely to do with diet or lack of certain nutrients and/or exercise. I'm one of those people that don't like to bandage the issue, I like to dig down to the root of the problem.

 I'm a firm #believer that we have to take care of all that #God has given us no matter our color, shape or size. It is the car we travel in while we're on this earth. If you don't keep it clean or get regular tuneups, you will notice the difference. We can work on our spiritual walk daily but we must not neglect all sides of us. It is important to make time to nurture our bodies with healthy foods, regular beauty regiment and exercise, feed our minds with books, new experiences and traveling and nourish our souls by giving love, forgiving others and working to purify our heart as often as possibly. 

Here's to making time to have balance by taking care of our body, mind and soul. KL

Love this quote! It's simple but true. Nothing comes to those that don't make an effort to go after what they want. Proverbs 14:23 states - Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty!

If you are waiting for things to change without making the effort, you may be waiting in vain. Change only comes when we choose to do something different each day, no matter how small, for it takes many rain drops to make an ocean.

Its Friday and I'm sure most of our week has been filled with different circumstances, good and not as much. Remember that people come into our lives to test and help us build our character, whether we see it or not. Our character in the end determines our destiny. God never gives you more than you can handle. All lessons are meant to open our eyes to our actions, heart and INTENTIONS. Don't allow ugly characteristics to stray you away from the truth of who you truly are, no matter the situation. Ugly characters are regret, anger, gossiping, bad mouthing, resentment and so on. Forgiveness frees us from these character flaws leading us closer to our true destiny... Discovering you.

Forgiveness...This seems to be the subject of my life for over a year now. All the answers I've come to realize point back to us being able to forgive. We free ourselves from mental anguish, unnecessary waste of time by spending valuable thought on things that make no difference in this very moment. The only difference it creates is blockage from connecting with this very moment and most importantly, God and universe. If we lack the ability to forgive we cannot expect for the door of blessings to open, for unforgiveness blocks our hearts from being pure. An unpure heart can't receive, perceive or believe in the truth of possibilities of anything greater unless it let's go and forgives. Unforgiveness blocks us from receiving all of our fresh daily bread each day, only leaving us to chew on the past over and over, like eating the same stale bread time after time.

What are you holding onto that is blocking you from being in today? What is blocking you from living every moment free of your own mental torment? If you are suffering unnecessarily, I send out a prayer to all that read this who are finding issues with forgiveness for their hearts to be healed, their souls and minds to be relieved, for the release of past pains from others but most importantly of the pain we have caused ourselves. Amen...for it is done!
