I love to make up smoothies, which is pretty much what cooking is, making it up as you go along.
In this protein smoothie recipe, I used:
1 scoop of brown rice protein powder
1 tsp flax seed meal
2 Scoops yogurt of your choice
1 cup coconut milk
4 Strawberries
Hand full of blueberries
1/3 cup of Dates (Used to hide the brown rice protein flavor. Also consider honey.)
Just a little information about Dates
Dates are full of minerals and vitamins containing calcium, sulphur, iron, potassium, phosphorous, manganese, copper and magnesium. Great to use as snack if you want something sweet or to add to a smoothie. Just make sure you blend it on the puree setting and blend it long enough otherwise you'll be chewing on chunks.
