In the beginning, when we're learning to #trustinthelord #God, one of the most important things you can do is learning self control and obedience through FASTING. No one really wants to give up meat, #drinking, #sex, skip on breakfast and lunch or read their #bible
continually, but it's a great way to learn to deny your desires from
ruling over you. You may be one of those people who say, "well this is
who I am". If you can do it with food, you can use this same mind set in
every other area of your life. To live with purpose, not with food,
relationships, sex or money controlling you. From #relationships #dating, to #workingout, this is the same concept of not allowing your desires or hunger to control you.
The other important parts that go with #fasting to make them more effective are #giving and #prayer. This is the time now, more then ever to remain prayerful day and night. If things aren't #peaceful in your #life, I would like to #encourage
you to do a 3 day fast, being thankful and prayerful through the short
"tough" period,that make you realize if you go through this, you can
handle more then you know. Remembering to also tithe/give through your
fasting, but to continue afterwards. What you joyfully give is always
given to you.....in more then enough... I #hope this encourages someone out there who is just ready for things to change. #JESUS #christian #scripture #success #truth #theword
